Well, we pushed through a last week of clinics before finally throwing in the towel. We are now in the capital city, and are recovering from a spate of illnesses (everything from malaria to shingles), but spirits are high especially in the cool weather.
The next week and a bit will be spent with E & J traveling around the country before heading home. We will need it to be a time of debriefing, rest, and healing. We're really excited though, it'll be a lot of fun.
Our final count showed we treated about 2500 people and saved many lives - but even better, we left some long-term changes including empowering the local health officials to continue the work we began by bringing them with us on every bush outreach trip.
We are safe, and happy. God is good. Please keep praying for us to rest well so that we can return home to continue participating in God's mission.
